Bespoke Audio Visual a full-service audio, visual equipment rental, and event staging company. We specialize in Technical Event Design, Production Management, and Technical Production. Bespoke is an approach. It draws on the unique nature of every event and our desire to customize the approach.

We work with you from fruition to completion to make your event a success. Our team will help you design and manage the logistics for your event and we will outfit your event with the industry's latest, state-of-the-art special events technical equipment.

Job Description

We are looking for salespeople to join our growing team of professionals in both our Ottawa & Toronto offices.

Job Duties

  • Able to maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
  • Acknowledge customers and discuss type, quality, and quantity of products and/or services required
  • Generate customer sales through cold calling and networking
  • Promote sales to existing clients
  • Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
  • Identify and solicit potential clientele
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers
  • Adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals
  • Draw up sales agreements (quotations) for approval of client
  • Conduct sales transactions
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research
  • Develop and build relationships with new accounts and develop additional contacts within existing accounts
  • Handle customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary
  • Keep up-to-date records on sales calls, customer contacts, and details of meetings in a timely manner in the format required
  • Relay customer quality improvement suggestions for company products and services
  • Conduct sales forecasts and weekly or monthly status reports

Job Requirements

  • Three years of related audio visual/technical experience
  • Degree or diploma in a business- or sales-related field
  • Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract

Work Conditions

  • High levels of stress and pressure

  • Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Occasional overtime
  • Operation of desktop computer and peripherals
  • Travel may be required (15%)

Experience

  • Three years of related sales experience
  • Three years of related audio visual/technical experience

Education

  • Degree or diploma in a business- or sales-related field
