Team Spotlight: Tamara Messacar
In this edition of our team spotlight series, we are introducing you to Tamara Messacar, Production Manager at Bespoke Audio Visual.
Her organizational skills, theatrical experience, and warm nature make her an important part of our team.
“Tamara stands out for her ability to concisely detail the needs of an event. From the initial meeting through the execution, her documentation and attention to detail are appreciated by clients and staff. Her outgoing nature and wide range of interests lead to fun conversations and activities outside of work and she was instrumental in forming “Team Spokie” to run in the Sporting Life 10k road race each spring.” Tristan Tidswell, Director of Production
What do you like most about being on the Bespoke Audio Visual team?
I’ve been with the team for almost three years and it’s been so exciting to see how we’ve grown and continue to grow. With a theatrical production background, I never imagined finding such a great fit with an AV company, but here we are!
What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
I want to see all the provinces and territories of Canada! I’ve done the road trip all the way west and back again. I recently spent time in Newfoundland, but still need to hit the rest of the Maritimes and Northern Canada.
When people come to you for help, what do they usually need help with?
Usually scheduling and organizational paperwork. I love creating helpful documents to improve efficiency and stay on top of all of our tasks. I love paperwork! No, seriously – you should see what I can do with an Excel spreadsheet.
What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?
Hit up a local coffee roaster in the morning, then head to the park, the beach, or go on a hike. Visit a local brewery in the afternoon and then play board games with friends at night after everyone’s kids are in bed.
What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?
When my husband and I were living in BC a few years ago I entered a contest to win tickets to the Blue Jays home opener. We had to create a little Instagram video showing off our fandom and we won! They flew us from YVR to YYZ for the game and put us up in a hotel. Not only did we get to see the Jays (lose) but we also got to see our family and friends before flying back home it was great!
